On November 13th, 2024, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof. William A.L. Anangisye, addressed newly admitted first-year students at the College. The meeting aimed to introduce students to the university's academic culture and practices.
In his speech, Prof. Anangisye congratulated the first-year students for their hard work, which had resulted to excellent grades that earned them a place at the University of Dar es Salaam, a prestigious institution. He assured them that they had made the right choice by selecting a university committed to high-quality teaching, research, and outreach programmes.
Prof. Anangisye encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies in order to avoid discontinuation, make full use of library resources and maintain academic integrity by avoiding plagiarism. He also urged students to respect public properties, uphold appropriate standards of behavior, and live lives that reflect diligence, responsibility, and a commitment to achieving their dreams.
