On December 13th, 2024, the College Principal, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka held a meeting with all staff members. In his address, Prof. Maluka commended the staff for their dedication and emphasized their role in achieving the college's mission of providing high-quality education and services to students and the Tanzanian community.
Prof. Maluka emphasized the importance of academic staff in advancing DUCE's reputation. He urged them to go beyond teaching and engage in research, publications, and funded projects to generate additional funds for the college. His remarks emphasized innovation and collaboration as essential for DUCE's growth and sustainability.
Before the Principal’s address, the Deputy Principal for Planning, Finance and Administration (PFA), Prof. Semiono presented a report addressing issues from the previous meeting. He also highlighted efforts by DUCE and the government to improve infrastructure and ensure a safe environment for staff and students, particularly through the HEET project. He encouraged staff to maintain their hard-working spirit and uphold the institutional reputation.
The meeting also featured a presentation from a Workers Compensation Fund (WCF) representative, who encouraged staff members to join the fund for their benefit.
Concluding the meeting, Prof. Maluka emphasized DUCE's commitment to transparency and engagement, reinforcing the college's dedication to fostering an inclusive academic community.
