On 24th July 2023, the College organized a one day training on ARIS3 online supervision system for all first-year Master’s students who are expecting to start writing their research proposals.
The training was officiated by the Director of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Sixberth Mlowe. Speaking during the training, Dr. Mlowe said online supervision through the ARIS system ensures activeness and transparency of the supervision process. He further highlighted that online supervision through ARIS3 helps to monitor the progress of the supervisor and the supervisee, and motivates students to keep on working hard.
The training was facilitated by staff from ICT department, Mr. Hobokela Mwakansope, Naomi Mushi and Salmin Singano who demonstrated how to use ARIS 3 to communicate with supervisors. The postgraduate students were further trained on how to apply for a research clearance permit through Research and Information Management System (RIMS).
During the training, the Acting Director of Library, Mr. Daudi Danda noted other services offered by the library include assisting students with writing skills, and access to e-resources and plagiarism software.
