DUCE Management has conducted a seminar to DARUSO Leaders aiming to provide them with practical administrative skills necessary for their tasks ahead.

Speaking during the opening seminar held recently, the Deputy Principal (ARC), Dr. Christina Raphael congratulated new leaders for being elected through free and fair elections. She also applauded the electoral committee officers for good supervision of the election process.

She further advised the newly elected leaders to keep in mind that they are leading and representing students who are studying in a high-profile University with its proper mission and vision. With such awareness, they ought to observe their character, diligence, competence and chemistry. She further argued them to remember that leadership is sacrifice; hence, they should effectively fulfill their responsibilities as it is expected.

Furthermore, the Deputy Principal (PFA), Dr. Method Samwel urged the student leaders to behave appropriately as they are a link between students and the University Management through the office of the Dean of Students. He appealed to them to leave a mark that may guarantee their lives after graduation.

"Don't be complainants; rather focus on finding solutions to various challenges, since the leaders are required to be role models in providing proper direction”. He reminded that, despite of being leaders, they are still students, and therefore they should continue studying hard and observing all the rules and principles of the University.

The seminar involved a total of 51 newly elected leaders who form the Students’ Government, Parliamentary and Judicial system.
