DUCE Gender Team has recently visited the Irish Embassy for a courtesy call with the Irish Ambassador. The meeting aimed to foster a better understanding of key issues between the two parties. The arrival of the new Irish Ambassador, Ms. Nikola Brennan, provided an excellent opportunity to initiate the discussion.

DUCE Gender Team was attended by Dr. Christina Raphael (Deputy Principal for Academic, Research, and Consultancy), Ikupa Moses (Head of the Diversity Unit), Perpetua Urio (GATE Project Coordinator), Crescensia Masawe (Head of the Gender Research Centre), and Anna Mwakitalu (DUCE Lecturer).

During the meeting, DUCE team presented to the ambassador a book titled Gender Inclusive Higher Education in Tanzania: Transforming Academia. The book is based on extensive empirical research and explores gender mainstreaming and gender-transformative actions in Tanzanian higher education.
