On October 26th, 2024, Chang'ombe Demonstration Secondary School held its Form Four graduation ceremony at the College campus. The event was honored by the esteemed presence of Mr. James Mbalwe, the Director General of the Gaming Board.
Other distinguished delegates who attended included the School Board Chairman, Mr. Kessy Mkambala; the Chairperson of the School Parents Association, Mr. Ismail Rushanshumwa; the Headmistress of Kilungule Secondary School, Ms. Rehema Mdoe; and the Headmaster of Dar es Salaam Secondary School, Mr. Hussein Njau.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Mbalwe congratulated the school management for their meticulous preparation of the Form Four graduation ceremony. He urged teachers to continue moulding students into future leaders and encouraged students to work hard to eliminate Division Four in their final examinations. He also urged parents to actively engage in initiatives that contribute to the school's progress. Finally, he pledged to support school initiatives by providing a heavy-duty photocopying machine worth 10 million.
Prior to Mr. Mbalwe’s remarks, the Headmistress of Chang'ombe Secondary School, Ms. Zahara Mustapha, congratulated the graduates for their perseverance, noting that only 86 out of 90 students managed to graduate. She further praised their outstanding performance in the Form Four mock examinations conducted in Dar es Salaam, where they achieved the highest position among government schools. Ms. Mustapha highlighted the significance of this achievement, noting that many students scored Division I, II, and III.
