The Directorate of Postgraduate Studies of the University of Dar es Salaam conducted a training on Aris3 to DUCE academic staff on 6th and 8th July 2021. The same training has also been conducted at other units of the University of Dar es Salaam.

The essence of this training is to prepare academic staff for the transition from Aris2 to Aris3. The aim of Aris3 is to facilitate postgraduate teaching and supervision by avoiding bureaucratic procedures in the interactions between instructors and students. Aris3 will also increase the levels of accountability in postgraduate teaching and supervision between students and supervisors through its embedded transparent communication platforms.

The training was graced by the Deputy Principal-Academic, Dr. Julius Mbuna and the Director of Postgraduate studies of the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof. Donatha Tibuhwa. Others were the Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. David Koloseni as well facilitators from the University of Dar es Salaam Aris office. About 50 DUCE staff members attended the training.
