Simon Peter Lurai serves as a Library Assistant II in the Directorate of Library Services (DLS) at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Simon has been an integral part of the University of Dar es Salaam since 2018. He earned a Diploma in Library and Information Studies in 2018 from the School of Library, Archives, and Documentation Studies, along with a Certificate in Library and Information Studies obtained in 2017 from the same institution, the School of Library, Archives, and Documentation Studies (SLADS).

Simon's expertise lies in the organization of information materials, encompassing both electronic and print formats. Additionally, he specializes in the preservation and conservation of bound books, shelving, shelf reading, and records management. Simon Peter Lurai's skills contribute significantly to the efficient operation of the University's Library Services.
