Hussein Rashid Hassan holds the position of Library Assistant II within the Directorate of Library Services (DLS) at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). He has been a valuable member of the University since 2018. Mr. Hassan graduated from the Open University of Tanzania with a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Management in 2022. Additionally, he earned a Diploma in Library and Information Studies in 2016 and a Certificate in Library and Information Studies in 2014 from the School of Library, Archives, and Documentation Studies (SLADS).

His areas of specialization include the organization of information materials (both electronic and print), records management, information literacy, and providing reader services to library users
