The Deputy Principal - Academic, Research, and Consultancy, Dr. Christina Raphael Isingo, urged women at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) to use their knowledge and skills as assets for investment for the development of the nation and the welfare of the society at large.

The statement was made during the celebrations of the International Women's Day at the college level on Tuesday, March, 5th 2024. The celebrations were guided by the theme "Education is a fundamental investment for a woman; let’s educate her in every aspect".

Dr. Isingo emphasized that investing in women should begin with themselves. She also encouraged female employees to collaborate and support each other in implementing their daily plans and responsibilities.

Furthermore, the gender desk representative, Ms. Philipina Kagaruki, while presenting on gender-based violence, urged women to be aware of gender-based violence, condemn it, and speak out against it.

With regarding to involving men in women's development, Dr. Nkuba Mabula stated that women should engage men as partners in achieving their dreams by uplifting each other without putting up barriers.

Closing the event, the Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. David Kacholi instructed women to assess challenges and successes for further procedures.
