The ambitious project concerned with enhancing gender based researches in higher education was launched at DUCE witnessed by two deputy Permanent Secretaries.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary (Education) of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Dr. Avemaria Semakafu, officially launched the project and the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government, Mr. Gerald Mweli, was one of the members of the project’s External Advisory Board.
The project is funded by the Irish Aid and is jointly run by the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and DUCE with a view of promoting gender based researches among academicians in higher education sector.
Speaking during a brief launching ceremony, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Education) of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Dr. Avemaria Semakafu, said the findings of gender based researches could help to improve policy formulation.
The Principal of DUCE, Prof. Stephen Maluka, said it was a privilege for DUCE to team up with world class university urging academic staff to use the opportunity to publish more widely.
