Dar es Salaam University College of Education has broadened the scope of the courses it offers by releasing three new postgraduate programmes.

The courses in question are Master of Science in Environmental Biology (M.SC-EB), Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (M.E-ELPS), and Master of Education in Curriculum Studies (M.ED-CS), which will be offered beginning 2020/2021 academic year.

The offices of the Admissions and Postgraduate Studies and Research have been marketing the postgraduate programmes over the last week urging people to apply for admission.

The Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies and Research (PGRS), Dr. Edwin Babeiya, said that the programmes are marketed together with other three postgraduate programmes the college offers.

These other masters programmes are the Master of Arts with Education (M.AED), Master of Science with Education (M.E.ED), and Master of Arts in Public Administration (M.A.PA).

‘We are proud to have better facilities for postgraduate students,’ Dr. Babeiya said adding that the newly refurbished hostel on the campus provides favourable ground for postgraduate studies.

Currently the College offers only one postgraduate diploma programme – Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) which is an evening programme designed for people intending to join or upgrade their career prospects in the teaching profession
