A workshop to promote gender equality was held at the College and attended by leaders of administrative and academic units.

The workshop aims to empower the leaders of the units to be responsive to issues related to gender inequality and sexual harassment. .

Speaking during the opening session of the workshop the Principal of DUCE, Prof. Stephen Maluka, said that higher education has a role to play in promoting gender equality.

According to the Principal, the College is responsible to promote gender equality and equity as reflected in the gender policy and the anti-sexual harassment policy.

The Coordinator of Gender Unit, Dr. Consolata Chua, said that papers presented and discussed during plenary sessions will be published in renowned journals
