Universities and institutions benefiting from the HEET project have been advised to quicken the implementation of activities managed by each institution. The key performance indicator designates that each university and responsible institution should have reached a milestone of 40% - 50% project implementation by April/May 2024.

This mandate was articulated by the Director of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Peter Msoffe, during the HEET project meeting held at University of Dar es Salaam new library on Monday, from 4th -7th March, 2024.

Furthermore, he directed the colleges and institutions to finalize the performance agreement by November of this year.  He said a performance agreement is a formal document that outlines the expectations, responsibilities, objectives, and metrics for evaluating the success of a project. Prof. Msoffe urged relevant institutions to consider applying for additional financing due to budget variations that arise in the implementation of the project.

It should be noted that Universities and institutions are at different stages of project implementation. Therefore, each institution was required to clearly define the progress made in project implementation for advice and guidance.
