On Monday, March 4^th, 2024, the College and Sports and Games Unit were visited by the Sports Officer from the National Sports Council (popularly known as Baraza la Michezo Tanzania, BMT), Mr. Nicholaus Mihayo, for the purpose  of handing over soccer balls on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the National Sports Council, Ms. Neema Msita.

Speaking during the brief handing over event, Mr. Mihayo said BMT recognizes the presence of various sports and games within the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) and the efforts made by the College Management in developing them.

In her brief note, the Deputy Principal - Academic, Research, and Consultancy, Dr. Christina Raphael expressed her gratitude to the National Sports Council for efforts in promoting and developing all sports in the country. She also congratulated various sports teams for performing well in the national and international competitions.

Earlier, the Dean of Students, Ms. Natu Msuya, along with the Sports Coordinator, Mr. Billalo Stanslaus mentioned various types of sports and games conducted at the college. These sports and games include football, athletics, netball, volleyball, baseball for the blind, aerobics, and other traditional games.
