This is to inform the Dar es Salaam University College of Education community and the public that in the exercise of powers vested upon him under Article 7 (3) of the University of Dar es Salaam Charter 2007, as read together with Rule 9 of the University of Dar es Salaam Rules, 2007; and Article 13 (1) of Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter 2010 as read together with Rule 7 (1) of the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Rules, 2010; the Chancellor, H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, has appointed Deputy Principals of the Dar es Salaam College of Education (DUCE) as follows:

1. Dr.Christina Raphael (PhD Dublin)

Deputy Principal (Academic) for the 2021/2022- 2023/2024 triennium. Dr. Raphael is a Senior Lecturer of Educational Management in the Faculty of Education, DUCE. Dr. Raphael has researched, published and consulted widely in the fields of Education Management specifically Distance Learning Programmes. She has been a member of different National and International boards including the Agency for the Development of Educational Management (ADEM).

 

 

 

 

 

2. Dr. Method Samwel (PhD Dar)

Deputy Principal (Administration) for the 2021/2022-2023/2024 triennium. Dr. Samwel is a Senior Lecturer of literature in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, DUCE. He is reappointed to this position for the second term. Dr. Samwel has researched, published and consulted widely in the fields of African Literature, Oral Literature, African Philosophy, Traditional Literature, Literal Linguistics, Written Literature, Translation and Interpretation. He has been a member of different National and International boards including serving as Chairperson of the National Councilfor Kiswahili (BAKITA).
