A team of two third-year students, Miriam Kente and Aida Mwaruka, spent the week (10 to 16 November 2024) in Kigali, Rwanda, representing the University of Dar es Salaam in the Prestigious Great Lakes Region Moot Court Competition, on the International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law. This year’s competition involved more than 32 Universities from Anglophone and Francophone countries, and our students were awarded the overall best-written submissions (memorials).

They also finished fourth in the Oral Submission. Their success thus far underscores the dedication and determination of our students, as well as the continuous support and guidance from the school and mentors. The School of Law is proud of their achievement and wishes them all the best as they confidently face other challenges ahead of them.
