Dr. Antidius Kaitu is a Lecturer at the Department of Private Law. He joined the School in 2015. He
holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (2014) and a Master of Laws degree (2015) from University of Dar
es Salaam and a Ph.D. from the University of Antwerp (Belgium- 2024). He has been a Fellow of the
All-African House (AAH) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2017). He also successfully
completed a two-year African Mining Legislation Atlas (AMLA) training that was supported by the
World Bank, the African Union & the African Legal Support Facility. He has also served as an
Assistant Coordinator of the Tanzania-German Centre for Eastern Africa Legal Studies (TGCL). Dr.
Kaitu’s areas of interests are International Law, Human Rights, Regional Integration Law, Natural
Resources Law, Cyber Space Law & Immigration Law.  He may be contacted
