The Parliamentary Committee on Education, Culture and Sports applauded DUCE for putting efforts in constructing classrooms and laboratories for Chang’ombe demonstration school.

Speaking during their recent visit, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Husna Sekiboko expressed her satisfaction with DUCE's implementation of its projects. She commended the College Management for its decision to use some of its funds for developing projects.

In his report, the College Principal, Prof. Stephen Maluka expressed his gratitude to the government for providing the College with 8 million US Dollar through the Higher Education for Economic Transformation Project (HEET). He further said such fund will bring about significant improvements and reforms in the College for construction of new buildings, curriculum development, scholarship for academic staff, and purchasing new facilities.

Responding during the conversation, Hon. Dr. Thea Medard Ntara, a Member of Parliament for Universities and Higher Education praised the College Management for proper management of the Chang’ombe demonstration schools. She also requested the responsible authority to simplify processes that likely to depreciate the promptness of the construction of HEET buildings.

The Deputy Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Hon. Omary Juma Kipanga appreciated DUCE’s efforts and promised to cooperate with the College in carrying out the remaining construction works in the site.
