HEET project Industrial Advisory Committees from various educational institutions conducted a workshop at UDSM new library to brainstorm challenges of graduates’ employability and how to bridge the gap between academia and industry. DUCE IAC members were also part of the workshop attended the event on the first day, 13^th November 2023.

DUCE IAC participated actively in a workshop and gained valuable insights into proactive strategies aimed at elevating the College’s plans to meet its anticipated goals. Through their engagement, the Board members harnessed knowledge and expertise, which they intend to apply in enhancing College’s initiatives, aligning them more closely with desired outcomes.

Speaking during the official opening of the workshop, the National Coordinator of HEET project, Dr. Kenneth Hosea said the workshop will examine the role of industrial advisory Committees in promoting labour market, enrolment, practical skills, flexible curriculum, career development, and bridging the gap between employers and Higher learning institutions.
