DEGREE PROGRAMMES AND COURSES OFFERED BY THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION
The Faculty of Education currently offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Education.
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES
The undergraduate degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Education include: Bachelor of Education in Arts (B.Ed. Arts) and Bachelor of Education in Science (B.Ed. Science). The Faculty also offers Educational Foundations and Pedagogical Courses to students taking Bachelor of Science with Education (B.Sc.Ed) and Bachelor of Arts with Education (B.A. Ed) Programmes, which are offered by the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences respectively. The Faculty of Education, therefore, provides training in the teaching profession for all education students at DUCE. Courses offered in the Bachelor of Education in Arts (B.Ed. Arts) and Bachelor of Education in Science (B.Ed. Science) are summarised in Tables 1 and 2:

All students admitted for Bachelor of Education in Arts (B.Ed. Arts) should study teaching subject courses (one teaching subject) from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, DUCE. Such students should not obtain less than 16 marks in his/her coursework grade. A student who has less than 16 marks in his /her coursework in any teaching subject is deemed to have failed the coursework and will be barred from taking the examination in that course; therefore, will be required to carry over the course.

TEACHING PRACTICE
All undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education must register for two teaching
Practice (TP) courses administered by the Faculty.
