The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in collaboration with Imperial College London (ICL) have received funding from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to implement a project entitled “Leveraging Antenatal-Based Surveillance for Malaria” (ANC Malaria Surveillance Project). The project’s broad objective is to develop an integrated, in-country pipeline for translating Antenatal Care (ANC) data into decision-support tools for real-time malaria surveillance and burden reduction in Tanzania.
This is to inform the University of Dar es Salaam community and the public that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. William A.L. Anangisye, has appointed Prof. Kessy Fidel Kilulya, to the position of Acting Director of Postgraduate Studies, effective from 9th February 2026 until the substantive Director is appointed. Prof. Kilulya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS).
