Welcome to the Communication and Marketing Unit (CMU)

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Communication and Marketing Unit (CMU) webpage. This platform provides information on various components and activities of the Unit as well as the services it offers to the University community and the public at large. The Communication and Marketing Unit aims to foster a positive and enhanced image of the University through improved University communication and marketing within and outside the institution. This, the key functions of the Unit (CMU) relate to official communications, public relations and marketing of the University.

CMU structure comprise three sections namely Corporate Affairs, Protocol and Communications (CAPS) Section; Marketing (Brand, Events and Exhibitions) (MBEE) Section; and News, Media and Digital (NMD) Section. Overall, the Unit is led by the Head, Communication and Marketing (HCMU) who reports to the Vice Chancellor.

UDSM Yaendelea Kukuza Fasihi ya Kiswahili, Tuzo za SAFAL Zikiadhimisha Miaka 10

Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam (UDSM) kimeendelea kuonesha dhamira yake ya kukuza lugha na fasihi ya Kiswahili kwa kuwa mwenyeji wa maadhimisho ya miaka 10 ya Tuzo za SAFAL Kiswahili Prize for African Literature, ambazo zimekuwa zikihamasisha waandishi barani Afrika kuandika kwa Kiswahili.

Hafla ya utoaji wa tuzo hizo ilifanyika Julai 24, 2026 katika Ukumbi wa Maktaba Mpya wa UDSM na kuhudhuriwa na wanataaluma, waandishi, wachapishaji, watunga sera na wadau wa fasihi kutoka nchi mbalimbali za Afrika.
