We are glad to inform the university community and the entire public that the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr John Pombe Magufuli has appointed Dr Juliana Masabo as a Judge of the High Court of Tanzania. Prior to her appointment, Dr Masabo was a Senior Lecturer and an Associate Dean of University of Dar es Salaam School of Law. 

Dr Masabo holds Bachelor of Law degree (LL. B (Hons)-2003), Master of Laws (LL.M-2005), University of Dar es Salaam, and Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph. D-2012), University of Cape Town, South Africa. Dr Masabo specialises in social security Law, labour migration law, citizenship law, refugee law and human right law. 

We wish Hon. Dr Masabo all the best in these new responsibilities.
