Dr. Devet Goodness Sinyangwe is an Associate Professor Senior in the Department of Languages and Literature (LL), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS). He holds Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Dar es Salaam, Master of Science in English Teaching from Aston University (UK) and Bachelor of Arts with Education Degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam.  He teaches both postgraduate and undergraduate courses including phonology and phonetics, pragmatics, Linguistic theory, syntax, second language learning, the structure of Bantu languages etc. Prof. Sinyangwe has published extensively in semantics, pragmatics, stylistics, morphology, phonology and morphosyntax. He has attended local and international conferences, and published conference proceedings papers and articles in international journals.. He has supervised a number of Masters and PhD students. He is also providing consultancy services in translation and interpretation.
