Profile: Mr. Raphael R. Mahundi has research and work interest and experience in project procurement, contract and construction occupational health and safety management. He has knowledge in the Tanzanian construction industry acquired through his engagement to a number of construction projects. His assisting in the training, teaching and supervising final year research projects for civil engineering students, has given him vast knowledge in the construction industry. This knowledge has been enhanced by attending different short courses and workshops in including building maintenance, Public Procurement, contract management and construction Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). Mr. Mahundi has been engaged as a trainer/facilitator (both as main and assistant) for procurement, contract management and occupational health and safety by International Labour Office (ILO), Institute of Engineers Tanzania (IET) and Engineers Against Poverty – UK. He has also conducted technical audit (value for money and procurement audit) for water construction projects that has given him a vast knowledge on project performance (Value for Money) and procurement audit.
