There will be the First Stakeholders’ Workshop of the Project, which will take place from 25th to 26th May 2023, at the Silversand Hotel in Dar es Salaam. The aim of this workshop is twofold. Firstly, it will act as a platform to introduce and publicise the GeoAfrica Project to the key geothermal energy stakeholders in Tanzania and through media coverage, to the general public. Secondly, the workshop will bring together the key geothermal energy stakeholder in Tanzania and the project partners to discuss the geothermal energy development situation in East Africa and Tanzania in particular, and to start developing and proposing policy guidelines and a roadmap for geothermal resource utilisation in Tanzania. The latter is the key deliverable of Work Package 5 of the GeoAfrica Research Project.
