Biography

Mr Japhet Odassy is a dedicated Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the College of Agricultural Sciences and Food Technology (CoAF). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering and Mechanization, where he developed a robust foundation in designing and improving farming equipment and sustainable agricultural systems.

His professional expertise is significantly enriched by a prestigious one-year international internship in Israel with the Arava International Centre for Agriculture Technology (AICAT). During this intensive program, he gained hands-on exposure to world-class advanced agricultural technologies and "Learning by Doing" methodologies in the challenging desert conditions of the Arava region. He is passionate about empowering the next generation of engineers with innovative, "out-of-the-box" thinking to solve real-world food security challenges.
