Biography

Dr. Judith Jacob Iddy is a Lecturer in Procurement and Supply Chain Management at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School and currently serves as the Intellectual Property Manager at the University of Dar es Salaam. She holds a PhD in International Business from the University of Agder, Norway, and is completing a Master’s in Intellectual Property at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law. She also earned a Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Molde University College, Norway.

Her research focuses on supply chain management, intellectual property rights, franchising, and strategic management, with a regional emphasis on emerging markets. Dr. Iddy has published in journals such as the Journal of Knowledge Management and the Africa Journal of Management, and has contributed to policy-oriented projects, including the Africa Franchising Accelerator Project supported by the African Development Bank.

She has held several administrative roles, including Quality Assurance Coordinator and Examination Officer. Her recent short course training includes Patent Law and Global Public Health at the Harvard Law School and WIPO Academy. She is fluent in English and Kiswahili.

Research Interest

General focus on Supply Chain Management, Intellectual Property Right Protection, Business Model Development, Franchising, International Business, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Public-Private- Partnership, and Emerging Markets.
