Biography

Rose Roberth Kinabo (MA) is a dedicated heritage professional and Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. She holds a Master of Arts degree and a Bachelor's degree in Heritage Management from the same institution, with a specialization in the preservation and protection of cultural and natural heritage.

Rose has developed expertise in managing and conserving heritage sites, gaining hands-on experience through training at renowned World Heritage sites such as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This experience has provided her with valuable insights into the complexities of safeguarding heritage resources for future generations.

Research Interest

Her research interests lie in the conservation of both natural and cultural heritage, with a particular focus on community-led conservation. She is committed to empowering local communities to take ownership of heritage conservation, ensuring that their voices and priorities are integrated into decision-making processes. Her work emphasizes sustainable heritage management, aiming to develop strategies that balance conservation goals with community development needs, and promote long-term benefits for both heritage and local communities.

Through her academic and professional endeavors, Rose is poised to make a meaningful impact in the field of heritage conservation, promoting awareness, participation, and sustainability in the protection of our shared cultural and natural legacies.
