Biography

I am an academician, consultant, and researcher in the field of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management. With 7 years of experience, I am passionate about supporting academic achievement and creating the next generation of African marketers and business managers who will have an impact on Tanzanian and global development. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Management centered on Gender, Entrepreneurship, and Agribusiness. My research aims to provide actionable insights that can empower women entrepreneurs, improve agribusiness sustainability, and enhance the overall economic development of Tanzania. Additionally, I aim to continue shaping the entrepreneurial landscape in Tanzania while contributing to the academic field through innovative teaching methods and research-driven insights to inspire students, empower communities, and advance knowledge that fosters sustainable economic growth

Projects

  • Project Title: Consultancy Engagement for Partnership Review of Afrobarometer (April 2025 to June 2025)
  • Funding Institution: Research Enterprise Systems (RES)

 

  • Lead Consultant: Prof. Emmanuel Aiyede, University of Ibadan, Nigeria

     

  •   Role: Contributed as Assistant consultant; in the induction and onboarding meeting with RES team, Review of all partnership documents (original proposal, progress reports/narrative reports, other relevant documents including program budget, etc, Work with appropriate staff of RES on all aspects of the review, analysis, report writing and synthesis, participate in a Reflection Meeting comprising all the partners, discuss report with RES team, Revise and submit final report.
  • Project Title: Adaptive Circular Manufacturing Systems: Leveraging Local Materials and Digital Monitoring for Sustainable Competitiveness in Tanzania Industries (June 2025 to Dec 2025)

  • Project Title: Evaluating the Multiplier Effect of Micro-Insurance on Climate Resilience among Motorcycle Taxi Drivers in Dar es Salaam (Feb 2025 to Nov 2025)

     

    Funding Institution: Global Disaster Preparedness Center, American Red Cross

     

    Lead Researcher: Dr. Enock Mwakalila, Mzumbe University

     

Role: Contributed as an expert in Business Studies, focusing on micro-insurance impact assessment, data analysis, and field coordination, ensuring a rigorous approach to evaluating the broader socio-economic effects of micro-insurance on climate resilience

  • Collaborated with the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) as a researcher on a data collection survey focused on Gender Inclusion in the Manufacturing Sector. This engagement assessed gender disparities in Tanzania’s industrial landscape (Nov 2024 to Jan 2025).


 

Conferences, Seminars, and Workshops Attended

  • Attended the 25th Academy of African Business and Development (AABD) Annual Conference presentation on Sustainable Development- Stakeholder Engagement and Participation, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, May 14-18, 2025. where I presented my paper, "Empowering Africa: The Transformative Impact of Digital Financial Inclusion on Economic Growth for Marginalized Groups." I was also recognized as the best paper in Track 1 at the conference.
  • Attended the 19th African Young Graduate and Scholars (AYGS) Research Conference at the University of Mpumalanga, South Africa, March 4-6, 2025, where I presented my paper on Leveraging Climate-Smart Agroecological Innovations to Enhance Smallholder Resilience and Transform Food Systems in Tanzania. I was also recognized as one of the top three best presenters at the conference.
  • Attended the 24th Academy of African Business and Development (AABD) Annual Conference presentation on Sustainable Development- Stakeholder Engagement and Participation, Washburn University, Topeka, KS, United States, May 14-18, 2024.
  • Attended a training on Consultancy skills. Organized by Management Development and Consultancy Bureau, University of Dar es Salaam Business School, June 2023.
  • Attained training on Entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and Investment Workshop, University of Dar es Salaam Business School, March 2023.
