Yusto Lucian Habiye is an Assistant Lecturer in Law at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School and a licensed advocate in both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at the University of Mauritius. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Corporate and Commercial Laws from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Tumaini University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Dodoma.
With over 14 years of diverse professional experience, Yusto has developed expertise in corporate law, property law, mercantile law, insolvency and bankruptcy, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). His academic and research endeavors are complemented by his active legal practice as an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, alongside his involvement in legal consultancy, contract vetting, corporate governance, and legal education. He is an active member of professional legal bodies, including the Tanganyika Law Society, Zanzibar Law Society, East African Law Society, and the Pan African Lawyers Union. His commitment to legal research, education, and advocacy continues to advance legal excellence in Tanzania and beyond.
