Petro Marwa is a technician specializing in mineral processing engineering with a diploma in mineral processing from university of dar es salaam(UDSM), Mineral resources institute(MRI).

Petro Marwa research interest (project) was on assessment of factors contributing on media loss during dense media separation(DMS) in wash screen and magnetic separator after recovering of diamond.The specific media used was Ferrosilicon (FeSi) that acts as media between diamond and granitic rock during separation.

Petro Marwa notable achievements includes the proposed the suitable flow meter for controlling flow rate in dense media separation screen and suitable magnetic separation drum speed which reduces the media loss by 15%.He is currently instructing students for practicals involves in metallurgy and mineral processing field in university of dar es salaam(UDSM),Mineral resources institute(MRI).
