Biography
Am Andrea Nestory Andrea my professional carrier is a Diploma in mineral processing engineering that I have studied at the University of Dar es salaam mineral resources institute campus (2018-2021) located at Dodoma region (UDSM - MRI).
My professional goals is to do a better innovation concerning the issue's of metallic extraction and to discover the best way of improving the recovery of metal through physical concentration and leaching technics.
Currently am a laboratory technician II (Assistant to academician) at mineral resources institute Dodoma (UDSM - MRI) in a department of mining and mineral processing engineering. usually i carry out specifie tasks connected with research,laboratory practical, students projects, consultancy and services. Also am doing the repair and mantainance of laboratory or workshop facilities.
Through this tasks enhance our students to adhere all Metallurgy and mineral processing operations in the mining industry especially in the laboratory activity that prepare the good standard of metal processing in both small scale, medium scale and large scale mining.
Research Interest
Through research it enhance the student on how to:
To control the leaching time of the ore
To know on how to control the sodium cyanide concentration in gold leaching process
To determine the settling rate of the materials especially in the dewatering process such as in the thickening process through fluctuation.
Research on effectiveness of carbon activity on the loading of gold concentration.

Projects
I have achieved to do a project concerning with the extended leaching of old tail in a new carbon in leach plant (CIL) at Bulyanhulu gold mine owned by Barrick corporation at September 2020, through this project enhance the processing plant department to set the parameters that achieve a good gold percentage recovery from 50% up to 70% from the head grade of 1.2g/t of ore.
Also l have achieved to do a sedimentation project to determine the settling rate of the ore after leaching process in the sedimentation chamber in order to recover the gold pregnant solution at apex resources limited chunya in 2023.
