Mr. Msabila Damian Charles is an Assistant lecturer and a PhD candidate in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, School of Education at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a Degree of Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Sport Sciences (Bed PESS) and a Degree of Master of Education in Physical Education and Sport Sciences (MED-PESS) with honours obtained from the University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in 2015 and 2022 respectively. His interest research area is on Physical Activity, Fitness, and Sports nutrition for performance. He is a former High-performance swimmer representing Tanzania in a number of sporting events as an athlete. Mr Msabila has received several sporting awards during his athlete life; including a Diploma of participation by The International University Sports Federation (FISU) during the World University Games (28th Summer Universiade 2015) held in Gwangju, South Korea; Certificate of participation in East African University Games (EAUG) held at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2013. He is now a PhD candidate under the FoCo-Active project scholarship where he has represented both the project and the country in international conferences including Tropentag 2023 in Berlin, German and Tropentag 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
