Rashid Mwatebela is a medical doctor and academician currently pursuing a Master of Medicine in Anatomical Pathology at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).

He completed his undergraduate studies at MUHAS in 2020 and did one year internship at Muhimbili National Hospital from November 2020 to November 2021. 

Following his internship, Dr. Mwatebela worked as a medical doctor in public and private hospitals gaining broad exposure to clinical practice and patient management, before joining the University of Dar es Salaam – Mbeya College of Health and Allied Sciences (UDSM MCHAS).

At UDSM MCHAS, he has been actively involved in the Department of Histopathology, working in histopathology, cytopathology, and autopsy services at Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital.

As a master’s student, Dr. Mwatebela is in the early stages of his career and is eager to develop expertise in academic medicine, research, and consultancy in pathology. He is committed to gaining the necessary skills, knowledge, and exposure to become a leading expert in his field.
