Call for Abstracts/Papers for the International Conference on Education Policy and Curricular Reforms
Introduction
Main Theme: Transforming Education for Sustainable Development
Following the review of the 2014 Tanzania’s Education and Training Policy (2023 Edition) several significant reforms have been introduced in the curricula. These reforms align with the forward-thinking vision of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, who emphasized in her 2021 parliamentary address the need for accessible, inclusive, and skill-based education. The success of these reforms hinges on effective implementation. Thus, the School of Education of the University of Dar es Salaam is organising a three-day international conference which will provide an opportunity to reflect and share experiences on the implementation of these reforms, with a special emphasis on sustainability, equity, teacher professionalism, and curriculum coherence across all education levels. The Conference will also serve as a platform to mark 50 years of Papers in Education and Development (PED) Journal of the School of Education.
