Social Sciences Consultancy Bureau (SSCB) was established in 2021 and is charged with the responsibility of soliciting jobs, marketing available expertise, providing guidance, and monitoring of consultancy services. Since then, the Bureau has enhanced the competitiveness of CoSS consultants and increased the coordination of consultancy activities within and across the College of Social Sciences. The Bureau’s strength lies heavily in the available human resources. For instance, CoSS has a large number of qualified and competent academic staff who can undertake enormous scientific consultancy work either individually or collaboratively. Currently, the College has a total of 122 academic staff, amongst 68 have PhDs, 49 have Masters and the remaining 5 are Bachelor holders.
Experts within the Bureau have combined experience of more than 60 years in the areas of consultancies, assessments and research on environment and resources, gender, social-cultural, economics, population, religion, public health, public policy, democracy, governance, constitution, conflict management, industrial relations, peasant economy, minority groups, project management just to mention a few.
