Dr. Shadrack Elia Kibona is a Lecturer in Statistics and Demography at the University of Dar es Salaam, with over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy. He serves as the coordinator for Research and Knowledge Exchange at both the Population Studies and Research Centre (PSRC) and the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) since 2023 His academic journey has been marked by expertise in Time Series Analysis, Demography, Sampling Methodology, Statistical Data Analysis and Climate Action Financing. Dr. Kibona holds a PhD (Climate Action Financing) from the University of Dar es Salaam (2023), a Master’s Degree in Statistics (2016), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics (2014). His PhD research focused on “The effectiveness of climate action financing in Africa”. Since 2023, Dr. Kibona has served as a Lecturer in the Department of Statistics, following prior roles as Assistant Lecturer (2016–2023) and Tutorial Assistant (2014–2016) at the same University. His background also includes a brief position as a Finance Reconciliation Analyst at the Bank of Africa Tanzania. Dr. Kibona has been a researcher on multiple projects. His consultancy and Public Service experience includes roles in data analysis for health and nutrition surveys and quality checking for agricultural development projects, National Trainer for Training of Trainers for the 2022 National Census in Tanzania. Dr. Kibona has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, particularly in Statistical modelling, Population Health, Social Security, Natural Resources and Climate Finance. His dedication to research, education, and development has established him as a significant contributor to his field.
