Biography

I am a geoscientist exploring questions about past life, human evolution and sedimentary geology.

Previously, I focused on the floral aspects of rocks deposited along the coastal margin of Tanzania, dating back 300 to 150 million years. By analyzing plant pollen, I determined the depositional ages of these rocks and compared them to equivalent-age formations elsewhere.

Currently, as a Ph.D. student, I apply advanced methods such as sedimentology at physical bed-to-architectural scales, paleohydraulics, palynology, drone photogrammetry, geochronology, and geochemistry. My research centers on the Oldupai Gorge Basin, a UNESCO World Heritage site with significant archaeological importance. My ultimate goal is to reconstruct the habitat of early Homo species by integrating these multidisciplinary approaches.
