The ENCORE-TZ Research Project based at the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS), University of Dar es Salaam, is excited to announce two (2) PhD partial scholarship opportunities generously funded by the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH). These scholarships are designed to support PhD research aligned with the objectives of the project titled “ Enhancing Coastal Resilience: Integrating Cost-Effective Technologies and Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in Tanzania (ENCORE-TZ).” ENCORE-TZ is a multidisciplinary initiative employing innovative approaches to address climate change cha lenges in coastal areas of Tanzania. The project focuses on utilizing a combination of cost-effective ocean observation technologies and nature-based solutions, tailored to the local context while ensuring active engagement of local communities.
