Biography

Amina N. Kamando is a lecturer, currently working at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Education, Department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning. She holds a PhD in education from the University of Glasgow, Master of Arts in Education and Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) from the University of Dar es Salaam. She has a diverse practical experience in the field of education, both as a teacher and researcher. She is interested in researching and working with local/rural communities through community-based research in challenging complex issues related to poverty and lack of education among the rural-poor communities; and/or the link between education and poverty alleviation and the impact on social change.
