Lucemo Charles Mwihambi is a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning, School of Education, at the University of Dar es Salaam. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Arts from Mkwawa University College of Education, a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam.
Before joining academia at UDSM, she served as a teacher in English medium primary schools, where she gained valuable experience in classroom instruction, curriculum implementation, and learner-centered pedagogy. Her teaching experience strengthened her understanding of foundational learning processes, school leadership dynamics, and the importance of inclusive and supportive learning environments.
Lucemo’s academic interests are grounded in Educational Foundations and Lifelong Learning. She is particularly interested in the philosophical, sociological, and historical foundations of education, as well as issues of equity, access, and transformative learning across the lifespan. Her work explores how foundational educational theories inform educational leadership, policy development, and sustainable learning systems in contemporary societies. She is passionate about promoting inclusive, community-based, and lifelong learning opportunities that respond to the evolving needs of Tanzanian society.
