Anangisye, by the powers vested in him, has appointed Professor Alexander Boniface Makulilo as the Fourth Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Professor in Pan-African Studies. This Prestigious Chair, established in 2008, is dedicated to the enduring legacy of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, Tanzania’s Founding President and Father of the Nation. It specifically advances scholarship and policy discourse on Pan-Africanism, an ideal close to Mwalimu Nyerere’s heart and teaching.
