SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR MSC STUDIES

A COSTECH funded climate friendly agriculture titled Improving Banana Yield and Value Addition to Banana Waste for Climate Friendly Banana farming has set aside fund to sponsor two MSc. Students. The project is working at improving banana productivity through the use environmental friendly Humic and Fulvic Acids to reduce clearing of forests for more agricultural land; and adding value to banana waste, in particular: fibre extraction from the pseudo stem, production of black soldier fly larvae (animal feed protein) and animal feed and ethanol from banana fibre decortication waste.

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is the oldest university in the country. It began as an affiliate college of the University of London in October 1961. At the time, it only had the Faculty of Law (currently the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law), which started with only fourteen students and three faculty members.
