It is under the School of Mines and Geosciences (SoMG) and therefore located within SoMG, University of Dar es Salaam.

Mining Earth Resource Management Bureau is a unit of the School of Mines and Geosciences (SoMG), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) that coordinates the provision of Public Service to the Tanzania community in the form of Consultancy and Professional Services.
