The University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS) has held one historic symposium with key business stakeholders to reflect its position in addressing the country’s economic and business competitive challenges of the 21st century.
The symposium, as one of the jubilation activities to celebrate the 60 years anniversary of the University of Dar es Salaam, took place at the UDSM’s Silver Sands Hotel on 17 June, 2022, and was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor William Anangisye.
The Vice Chancellor commended the School for its exemplary provision of various services to the public that presents a very positive image of the University locally and internationally.
“I am very glad that the University of Dar es Salaam Business School is representing the University very well both inside and outside the University and, we are proud that it has become one of the top 10 Business Schools in Africa,” said Prof. Anangisye.
The Dean of the University of Dar es Salaam Business School, Professor Wineaster Anderson said that the School will determinedly continue to generate workforce that aids significantly in the economic development of the country.
“We aim to foster a generation of youth that are able to work not only in Tanzania but also globally so as to expand their opportunities”, insisted Prof. Anderson.
In this symposium, which was also attended by various alumni of the University of Dar es Salaam including the first ever female student of the University, class of 1964, Retired Judge Julie Manning, various topics related to business, finance, investments and others were discussed at length.
