Dr Kikwete, the former President of the United Republic of Tanzania emphasised this as he spoke to the new appointed leaders of different units of the University of Dar es Salaam today Friday, 18th March, 2022.

"Engage others as you execute your responsibilities; that is the way to make them cooperate with you, and it will definitely make them happy and be assured that you recognise their abilities",. Dr. Kikwete said.

"What would you wish people to remember you for after you leave this post?", Dr. Kikwete questioned.

Also, Dr Kikwete insisted that the University's more efforts to make it perform better academically and research-wise should be geared towards implementing its vision 2061,  focusing on innovation that solves society's challenges.
