Research Flats is a facility owned and operated by the University of Dar es Salaam. It offers accommodation and conference facilities. It is located within the University of Dar es Salaam J.K Nyerere Mlimani Campus, 10 kilometers west of Dar es Salaam City center. Research Flats is located in highly quiet environment. It caters specifically for;

• Visiting lectures;
• Researchers;
• Foreign and local workshop participants;
• Exchange program students; and
• Any other visitors who wish to stay in a quiet place for learning and any other related tasks.

Accommodation Facilities

• The Research Flats consist of fifteen (15) executive rooms;
• Each room has an air conditioner, bed, executive sofa set and free Wi-Fi;
• Each room costs $20 per night (foreigners) per person and TZS 40,000/= per night (citizens) per person including bed and breakfast;
• Lunch and dinner services are served upon request.

Conference Facilities

• The Research Flats consist of two (2) conference rooms fully furnished with air conditioner, projector, and flip chart;
• The conference facility costs TZS 40,000/= per person, per day including breakfast, lunch, refreshments and evening tea.
