SUWASAN aims to enhance training, research, and innovation capacity in the water and sanitation sector, addressing critical challenges facing water sector while focusing on women for co-creating and co-designing water and sanitation solutions relevant for Tanzania context. The sub-program seeks to strengthen UDSM's academic and research capabilities through collaboration with Swedish universities, namely; KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. The three key focus areas under SUWASAN sub-program are: Hydrology and Geochemical Modeling (Work package 1), Sanitation (Work package 2), and Natural Resources Assessment and Management (Work package 3). Therefore, the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the admission into PhD and PhD scholarships for the Taught PhD Programmes under the UDSM-Sida SUWASAN sub-program in any of the above work packages. A total of six (6) PhD positions are available with two (2) per each work package.
